500 Pasteur Drive Construction

500 Pasteur Drive Construction

  • Project Description: Stanford Health Care is building a hospital facility at 500 Pasteur Drive. The project includes the construction of a seven-story hospital building and four-story parking structure. Construction is scheduled to be completed in 2017 and open to patient care in 2018.
  • Construction Update:
    • Construction crews are installing precast panels and metal panels around the exterior of the hospital.
  • Construction Hours: Regular work hours are 6 a.m. – 8 p.m., M-F; 7 a.m. – 6 p.m., Sa.

Garden Entrance/Tunnel Construction

  • Project Description: 500 Pasteur Drive will connect seamlessly to the existing hospital building at 300 Pasteur Drive through a pedestrian bridge and walkway, as well as a tunnel for supply chain flow, deliveries and waste management transportation. Work is scheduled to be completed in 2017.
  • Construction Update: Steel is being stacked near the former garden entrance in preparation for building the lobby that will connect the new hospital to the existing hospital via bridge.
  • Construction Hours: Regular work hours are 6 a.m. – 8 p.m., M-F; 7 a.m. – 6 p.m., Sa.

 

Stanford Hospital Renovations & Upgrades

Waste Management Project

  • Project Description: Work is occurring on the Ground Level of 300 Pasteur Drive to renovate and reconfigure the waste management area to accommodate all future deliveries and shipments for 300 and 500 Pasteur Drive, as well as Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. Work is scheduled to be completed in June 2016.
  • Construction Update:
    • Safety fencing is in place near the Emergency Department parking lot. One lane remains open for emergency vehicles and visitors to access the Emergency Department.
    • Framing and concrete placement is ongoing for new concrete roof deck and parapet walls.
    • Fireproofing and new utility rough-ins are occurring below the expanded roof deck slab through October.
    • Occasional night and weekend work may occur with advance notice.
  • Construction Hours: Regular work hours are 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., M-F.

Supply Chain Project

  • Project Description: Work is occurring on the Ground Level of 300 Pasteur Drive to renovate and enhance the hospital’s supply chain area to accommodate all future materials and deliveries for 300 and 500 Pasteur Drive, as well as Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. Work will be complete in May 2017.
  • Construction Update:
    • Some construction-related noise can be expected during construction hours.
    • Sprinkler, chilled water and hot water shut downs and tie-ins began on Wednesday, 10/7 for future Ground Level Mission Critical and security dispatch areas.
    • Tile and restroom-partition work continues.
    • New IDF room buildout is ongoing near the future ground floor Supply Chain space.
  • Construction Hours: Regular work hours are 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., M-F.

Security Command Center

  • Project Description: Work is occurring on the Ground Level of 300 Pasteur Drive to renovate and relocate the new Security Command Center for 300 and 500 Pasteur Drive. Work will be complete in May 2017.
  • Construction Updates:
    • Wall framing and new server room build-out is ongoing.
    • Rough–in Electrical and HVAC work has started. Minor noise impacts will occur daily for new anchors and supports below Radiology.
  • Construction Hours: Regular work hours are 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., M-F.

Surgical Pathology Project

  • Project Description: Renovations to modernize and enhance the Surgical Pathology Suite are underway on Level 2 of 300 Pasteur Drive. Work began on Monday, 7/27 and will continue through October 2016.
  • Construction Updates:
    • Moderate noise is expected for about two weeks.
    • Wall framing continues on site.
    • Additional work zones will require access to: Roof of Central Core Building; Level 3: Neurology offices; Level 1: International Medicine, Business Development and ED Fast Track; Ground Floor: Spiritual Care and Nursing Administration. Coordination with impacted departments is ongoing.
    • Scaffolding is in the Central Core courtyard will remain until February 2016.
    • Two restrooms located across from the Grossing Lab on Level 2 are closed from Tuesday, 8/31 through Tuesday, 12/8 due to construction.
  • Construction Hours: Regular work hours are 5 a.m. – 3 p.m., M-F. Occasional night and weekend work may occur with advance notice.

Bone Marrow Transplant Project

  • Project Description: The existing hospital facilities are undergoing renovations to modernize and enhance the functional capacity of the Bone Marrow Transplant Laboratory. Work is underway on Level 1 of 300 Pasteur Drive to renovate and reconfigure the Bone Marrow Transplant Laboratory. Work began Monday, 7/27 and will continue through September 2016.
  • Construction Updates:
    • Drywall installation continues.
    • Six North ICU patient rooms will be impacted for sanitary sewer line replacement.
    • Departments will be notified of any impacts to operations on a weekly basis.
    • Demolition is occurring and some noise is expected.
  • Construction Hours: Regular work hours are 7 a.m. – 4 p.m., M-F. Occasional night and weekend work may occur with advance notice.

 

Packard Expansion

Quarry Road Crosswalk—Packard Expansion

The crosswalk on Quarry Road and Quarry Extension (near the construction trailers) will remain closed in order to accommodate deliveries and concrete pours near the perimeter of the construction site. A pedestrian detour is in place.

 

Stanford Neuroscience Health Center

Stanford Neuroscience Health Center

  • Project Description: Construction of the five-story, 92,000-square-foot Stanford Neuroscience Health Center is currently underway. The building, scheduled to open this winter, will support the growing need for specialized outpatient neurological care, allow for advancements in neurological research and deliver innovative treatments to the community.
  • Construction Update: Interior finishes are being installed within the building. Furniture installation is in the final phase.
  • Construction Hours: Regular work hours are 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., M-Sa.
