500 Pasteur Drive Construction

500 Pasteur Drive Construction

  • Project Description: Stanford Health Care is building a hospital facility at 500 Pasteur Drive. The project includes the construction of a seven-story hospital building and four-story parking structure. Construction is scheduled to be completed in 2017 and open to patient care in 2018.
  • Construction Update:
    • Construction crews are completing the steel phase of work including, welding, decking and interior framing of the hospital.
    • Construction crews are installing metal panels and framing the exterior and interior of the parking garage.
  • Construction Hours: Regular work hours are 6 a.m. – 8 p.m., M-F; 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturdays.

Garden Entrance/Tunnel Construction

  • Project Description: 500 Pasteur Drive will connect seamlessly to the existing hospital building at 300 Pasteur Drive through a pedestrian bridge and walkway as well as a tunnel for supply chain flow, deliveries and waste management transportation.
  • Construction Update:
    • The tunnel work is substantially complete. Crews are installing rebar and formwork (temporary molds) to prepare for the installation the base isolators for the bridge.
  • Construction Hours: Regular work hours are 6 a.m. – 8 p.m., M-F; 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturdays.

 

Stanford Hospital Renovations & Upgrades

Waste Management Project

  • Project Description: Work is occurring on the Ground Level of 300 Pasteur Drive to renovate and reconfigure the waste management area to accommodate all future deliveries and shipments for 300 and 500 Pasteur Drive, as well as Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. Work will be complete in June 2016.
  • Construction Update:
    • Safety fencing is in place near the Emergency Department parking lot. One lane remains open for emergency vehicles and visitors to access the Emergency Department.
    • Excavation is ongoing to prepare for the waste dock expansion near the Emergency Department ambulance entrance.
  • Construction Hours: Regular work hours are 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., M-F.

Materials Management Project

  • Project Description: Work is occurring on the Ground Level of 300 Pasteur Drive to renovate and enhance the hospital’s supply chain area to accommodate all future materials and deliveries for 300 and 500 Pasteur Drive, as well as Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. Work will be complete in May 2017.
  • Construction Update:
    • Some construction-related noise can be expected during construction hours.
    • Mechanical, electrical and plumbing installation work is ongoing in the ceilings.
  • Construction Hours: Regular work hours are 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., M-F.

Spring Refresh Project

  • Project Description: The Spring Refresh C-I-CARE project will replace flooring and baseboards in all major corridors in the B/C Patient Unit (Levels 1, 2 and 3), the Cafeteria and Emergency Department Entrance as well as deep clean patient units, rooms and public spaces while also de-cluttering patient units. Work began in May and will continue through August.
  • Construction Updates: On July 16th, crews began replacing the flooring and baseboards on Level 1 of the hospital in the main, mid and back corridors. This work will occur in phases to minimize impacts to staff and patients. Detour signage will be installed to provide alternative routes during the work.
  • Construction Hours: Regular work hours are 4 p.m. – 12 a.m., M-F.

 

Packard Expansion

Quarry Road Crosswalk—Packard Expansion

The crosswalk on Quarry Road and Quarry Extension (near the construction trailers) will remain closed in order to accommodate deliveries and concrete pours near the perimeter of the construction site. A pedestrian detour is in place.

 

Stanford Neuroscience Health Center

Stanford Neuroscience Health Center

  • Project Description: Construction of the five-story, 92,000-square-foot Stanford Neuroscience Health Center is currently underway and scheduled to open this winter. The building will support the growing need for specialized outpatient neurological care, allow for advancements in neurological research and deliver innovative treatments to the community.
  • Construction Update:
    • Crews continue to install the exterior and interior finishes of the building.
    • Access to the Hoover Pavilion Garage from Palo Road remains temporarily closed, reopening on Monday, 7/27. Complimentary valet parking is provided at the Palo Road entrance. Complimentary parking is available in the Hoover Parking Garage (via Sweet Olive Way) all day and in the outdoor lot after 4 p.m. Hoover Pavilion will remain open and fully accessible at all times.
    • The sidewalk along Palo Road to the front entrance of the Hoover Medical Campus is closed to accommodate utility work for the Neuroscience Health Center. Pedestrians should follow detour signage to access the campus via Sweet Olive Way/Parking Structure 9.
  • Construction Hours: Regular work hours are 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., M-Sa.
